Shopping

There are two main shopping areas in Kirkcaldy: the High Street, and the Fife Central Retail Park.

High Street

Kirkcaldy High Street runs parallel to the Esplanade, with the middle section pedestrianised.

As well as shops along the street, two shopping centres run to either side.

The main brand shops on the street include:

  • Marks & Spencer
  • BHS
  • WHSmith
  • Argos
  • Boots
  • Next

The Mercat Shopping Centre is a large complex, and runs between the High Street and the Esplanade. A number of the shops have exits onto both the main street and the shopping area at the back.

The Postings runs between the High Street and the Bus station to the West. The Postings has an entrance to Tesco, which contains the main Post Office in the town centre.

Fife Central Retail Park

The retail park is a relatively new development at the north of Kirkcaldy, and is just south of the A92.

Stores include:

  • Sainsburys
  • Next
  • Homebase
  • Currys
  • Comet
  • Boots

In addition, an expansion of the retail park is taking place - which will include B&Q and Argos Extra.

The retail park also includes

  • McDonalds
  • KFC
  • Pizza Hut
  • Sainsburys Petrol
