There are several shopping areas in Kirkcaldy, the two main ones being the town centre (made up of the High Street and ajoining shopping centres) and the Fife Central Retail Park.

Kirkcaldy High Street

The High Street runs parallel to the esplanade. It is divided into three areas - the central pedestrianised areas, and the sections to the east and west with limited car access and parking available.

The retail park sits to the north of the town, just south of the A92. It was expanded in 2008.

Mercat Shopping Centre

The Mercat is the town's largest indoor shopping area. It has direct links to three multi-storey car parks - the Esplanade, Thistle and Mercat car parks. It is accessible from several points on the High Street.

The Postings

The Postings is a smaller shopping centre, linking the High Street to the Bus Station. It links directly into Tesco, and has a car park spaning the entire roof.
