Mercat Shopping Centre

The Mercat Shopping Centre is Kirkcaldy's largest indoor shopping facility. It sits on the east side of the High Street, and stretches down to the Esplanade.

You can access the centre from either of the three car parks, the Esplanade, Tollbooth Street, Marks & Spencer, BHS, Boots and the main entrance on the High Street.

It was originally built in 1972, then extended in 1983. Proposals have been made to expand it once again to include a major supermaket, cinema and bowling alley.
